Hey music lovers! It’s pop and indie genre manager Mia here with a great playlist to end your summer!
“august” – Taylor Swift
Salt air and rust on your door, I’ve never needed Taylor Swift more! It’s August, so of course I’m going to include Taylor Swift’s “august” on my playlist for the summer! I included “Last Kiss” because of July 9th as well!
“The Last Great American Dynasty” – Taylor Swift
Next up, “The Last Great American Dynasty” by Taylor Swift. I live in Rhode Island, which is where Taylor’s house on Watch Hill is located. Her house and its history inspired this song! Since Watch Hill is on the beach, this song reminds me of summer.
“Life is a Highway”- Rascal Flatts
My obsession with the “Cars” trilogy may have made this song expected, but summer is the perfect time for it! For me, this song feels like driving down a road with the windows down and wind in your hair.
“Blindsided (Yeah, Sure, Okay)” – Kelsea Ballerini
I’m in love with Kelsea Ballerini’s music. It’s a must on my playlist!
“Highway 20 Ride”- Zac Brown Band
Cape Cod is my vacation destination every summer and my family LOVES Zac Brown Band. I have memories of us driving on the Cape blasting their music and singing along!
“Most People Are Good” – Luke Bryan
I just recently discovered this song, and I’ve become obsessed!
“HOT TO GO!” – Chappell Roan
I was an Orientation Leader this summer and I tried to teach all my groups this dance!
“Vienna”- Billy Joel
My godmother made me a CD when I left for college, and this is one of the first songs on it. I love listening to CDs, but my favorites are the ones made special for me.
