Born and raised in New England, American singer/songwriter Noah Kahan has stolen the hearts of Folk and Alternative/Indie fans all over the country. Kahan has always had musical ambitions growing up, having been writing and uploading music to Soundcloud since the age of eight.
His debut album Busyhead was released in 2019, followed by the 2021 release of his sophomore album I Was / I Am. While Busyhead brought hits such as “False Confidence”, “Mess”, and “Hurt Somebody” featuring Julia Michaels, I Was / I Am unfortunately seemed to fly under the radar.
Kahan’s biggest and most successful project has been Stick Season, debuting in October of 2022. The title track, released just three months before the finished album, skyrocketed to number 10 on the Billboard Alternative Adult Airplay chart and amassed over 40 million streams, foreshadowing the success of the upcoming album.
From the start, this project was never intended to be a full-length album, although the writing process naturally led to the completion of the 14 track, 55 minute project. Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), an extended version of the album, was released less than a year after Stick Season’s original debut; providing an additional 7 tracks. Later collaborations on these tracks, including “Dial Drunk” (with Post Malone) and “Call Your Mom” (with Lizzy McAlpine), became smash hits, only furthering the success of the project.
Embarking on a 40+ date North American tour in late January of 2023 and wrapping at the end of September, Kahan, along with support from Ruston Kelly and Joy Oladokun, mainly played at intimate venues like Stage AE, Coca-Cola Roxy, Radio City Music Hall, and The Greek Theater.
To everyone’s surprise, a recent Instagram post from Noah Kahan announced the We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour, which will be the biggest tour of his career. Making stops at Madison Square Garden, Fenway Park, Hollywood Bowl, and OVO Arena Wembley, Kahan will be coming to arenas, amphitheaters, and stadiums throughout the United States, Europe, and United Kingdom.
I personally did not expect another tour announcement so soon, but considering the raging success of his 2022 and 2023 tours, I’m not surprised he decided to get back out on the road sooner than later.
